Install the launcher

Open Novaldir-Setup.exe and follow the setup. If Windows shows a warning, see the steps just below.

Create your account with your key

In the launcher, “Create account” tab: your e-mail address, a password and your alpha key (NOVA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). No key yet? Request one here.

“Windows protected your PC”

Novaldir is a young, independent game: its installer does not yet have the reputation Windows SmartScreen expects from widely distributed software. On first launch, Windows may show this warning. Here is how to continue:

1. Click “More info”.

2. Check the file name, then click “Run anyway”.

3. Setup starts. Novaldir then appears on your desktop and in the Start menu.

Simplified illustration: the exact look depends on your version of Windows. Only download the launcher from novaldir.com; you can compare its SHA-256 fingerprint with the one shown above (PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\Novaldir-Setup.exe). If your antivirus blocks the setup, let us know on Discord.
